Acumen have been officially recognised as one of the UK’s best workplaces for wellbeing!

We're incredibly proud to be ranked among the 250 organisations on the UK's Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing by the Great Place to Work institute®. This follows our accreditation as a ‘Great place to work’ back in November 2021, and is proof that wellbeing is a core focus of ours, and our people are truly at the heart of everything we do.

To gain our wellbeing accolade, culture experts at the Great Place to Work® analysed employee surveys to assess levels of work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security within our business. This assessed holistic experiences of wellbeing at work through these fundamental facets.

Wellbeing is a top priority for us at Acumen. We recognise that increased wellbeing increases employee productivity and performance, employee retention, reduces absenteeism and helps to attract and retain top talent for our workforce. We developed our wellbeing strategy in order to show employees they are valued, increase productivity & creativity, and support our people through the pandemic. As the world returns to some sort of ‘normal’ we remain committed to supporting our employees wherever they are based, and however they wish to work.

At Acumen, our wellbeing strategy is built on 4 ‘pillars’ – representing physical, emotional, social and financial wellbeing. Under each of these we include initiatives and activities to support our employees in these areas. For example, physical wellbeing initiatives we run are weekly yoga sessions, walking meetings, and Strava step challenges. For emotional and social wellbeing, we include quarterly keynote speakers, provide wellbeing packages to our people and share regular wellbeing ‘nudges’ through our company communications platform. Despite these initiatives, for us, having a holistic view of wellbeing and taking it seriously is the most important thing.

Some quotes from our employee engagement survey include the following:

“At Acumen, there is genuine interest in each other’s wellbeing on the job.”

“Acumen have done a great job supporting remote working - team updates, activities and gifts etc. are making a real difference despite the circumstances”
