When our founders began working in FMCG, they were tired of the constant struggle they had to get accurate visibility of data to inform pricing and investment decisions. Through founding Acumen in 2006, they decided to help commercial teams by providing the tools and processes to fix these issues, enabling businesses to make better decisions and drive lasting change.

Nick Ryan

Nick is Acumen’s Founder and Chief Commercial Officer. Nick has extensive consulting experience, working with leading consumer goods companies worldwide on revenue management initiatives. Prior to founding Acumen, Nick worked for Mars, Diageo and PepsiCo. He ensures excellence in our client management and new business acquisition​ and is responsible for developing our client relationships and the delivery of our world class software and consulting solutions.

Matt Wills

Matt is Acumen’s Founder and Chief Product Officer. Matt leverages over 20 years of expertise in software development together with extensive finance experience gained from high profile roles in market leading Tech and FMCG companies such as United Biscuits and PepsiCo. Matt leads the design of Acumen’s software applications and consulting solutions, developing our offering and approach.
